Pom Pom Island — A small coral reef island in the Celebes Sea, about 30km northeast of Semporna. Its 2.3km shoreline is ringed by a 4km fringing coral reef, making it a popular base for snorkeling and diving. Mataking Island — Located in the Celebes Sea off Sabah, Mataking is home to Malaysia's first "Underwater Post Office" and is linked to its smaller neighbor, Pulau Mataking Kecil, by a narrow sandbank. Timba-Timba Island — An uninhabited island in the Semporna Archipelago, known for its long white sandbank and crystal-clear turquoise waters. A favorite for snorkeling, diving, and beach photography, it's often paired with Mataking and Pom Pom on day trips from Semporna.
